Hobart's electric hydrofoil network
Hobart,
above the water.
Plans for Australia's first electric hydrofoiling passenger network[2][3], spanning sixty kilometres of the Derwent from New Norfolk to Opossum Bay[2]. Vessev's hydrofoiling catamarans cruise above the water at twenty-five knots[3], producing virtually no wake and zero emissions[3]. Fly Derwent says fares would be comparable to a ride-share[1].
Illustrative. Only New Norfolk, the Hobart waterfront, and Opossum Bay are named in the announcement[2]; Kingston is mentioned as an example route[1].
